It's fair to say that Argyle have had their share of goalkeeping issues this season with neither Conor Hazard nor Luca Ashby-Hammond among the best between the sticks in League One.
So, it seemed like a good time to see what the stats say.
The first is: Prevented goals per 90.
It measures how many goals a keeper has saved compared to what an average keeper would be expected to concede from the same shots.
- Each shot on target the keeper faces is given an “expected goals on target” value based on where it was taken and how difficult the shot is.
- These values are added up to give the total expected goals on target the keeper should have conceded over a period.
