While the Greens will be taking on Doncaster Rovers on Saturday, Galloway will be preparing for Monday’s Group B opener against the seven-time champions in the Moroccan city of Agadir.
Zimbabwe have never made it out of the group before but if the 29-year-old can stop the Liverpool star then the Warriors have a chance.“I am really excited,” Galloway told The New Pilgrim.
“He’s an amazing player, one of the best in the world, so i have just got to approach it like any other game –try and be aggressive, try and win my duels and just try to stop him. If I manage to do that, it will give us the best chance of winning the game.”
After the clash with the Pharaohs, Zimbabwe then take on Angola and South Africa, teams with past World Cup experience.
