Plymouth Argyle's latest addition Wes Harding can’t wait to get stuck in for his new club and join what he views as a push for the playoffs.
The athletic right-sided defender arrived at the end of the transfer window on loan from Championship team Millwall and, after struggling for regular minutes this season with just 11 appearances in all competitions, is ready to make a difference in League One, starting against Lincoln City at Home Park this Saturday.
“I haven’t had regular minutes for some time,” Harding said on Thursday. “I’ve been chomping at the bit really, trying to keep myself fit for any opportunity that may come.”
The 29-year-old, who has spent the last four seasons in the second tier after helping Rotherham United to promotion from League One in 2022, has promised the faithful that he is going to give his all and has come to Devon with his sights on a promotion challenge with Argyle sitting in 15th.
