Does Tom Cleverley have a disciplinary problem?

As a player, Tom Cleverley was never sent off. As Plymouth Argyle head coach, he is now facing a third touchline ban in the space of four months. It may not be a priority in a roller-coaster of a season but it is a habit that does the team, and the man himself, no good.

Things are looking up for Plymouth Argyle. The last seven League One games have returned 14 points to leave the club looking up towards mid-table and, for the giddier sections at Home Park, even higher.

Sure, the shadow of relegation is still there as the dropzone is just three points below but a team in such form should –should –be confident of climbing up the standings.

And there is now a place in the quarter-finals of the Vertu Cup following a thrilling 4-3 win at Bristol Rovers on Tuesday, thanks to a 95th minute winner from Bim Pepple. A trip to Wembley is now very much on the cards.

Will Tom Cleverley, however, be there at the national stadium?
